If you want to play in another PBEM currently, post here. You can post your preference between AoW1 and AoW2, though of course we seem to only play AoW1 these days. Map suggestions are welcome.

If we play a widely known, normal map I might edit it to put an extra magic node next to every existing node, and to give everyone a level 30 low-stats Spellcasting V infantry hero. Do people like that idea?
I'm always up for a good game. Level 30 spell cast leaders has a special charm to it.

I would be up for trying aow2 too: I've never played it before, but I'm down for losing a few games to get the hang of it
I'm in!

Either 2 or 1 are good for me.

It has a very different feel, unit wise. Unlimited retaliations are a thing of the past, and hordes of T1 archers are no longer dominate. Your leader is weaker (unless customized) and doesn't advance in combat skills, but they can now be used as expendable fodder in the the early game if you have a tower to respawn.
Um, in for, um, AoW:SM. I guess... But am also okay not playing if you want to stick to silly mods of AoW:1. :-)

And the towers setting the range of your spells are a p.good mechanic imho.

Oh my, Mimo is back. Sort of. Time for everyone else to start losing again! ;)

It is interesting, and it allows for some radius control shenanigans, too. If you've never concealed your control of a Magic Relay behind your enemy's lines by ending multiple turns outside your wizard's tower, you're missing out. Same with pinpointing an enemy tower town by triangulating from their magic radius borders.
If Mimo returns I'll have to sign up as well.
