Situation: I moved a hero into a previously-explored Ancient Ruin containing a hero item (Tutorial mission 2). The tutorial pop-up explaining what an Ancient Ruin is comes up, then mouseclicking locks up entirely. Keyboard commands still work, mouseover messages work, but I can't click on anything, including the OK button to dismiss the pop-up, rendering the game unplayable. The hero inventory slot pop-up doesn't come up either. I reloaded and reattempted entering the AR several times, same problem again and again; once I got the inventory to come up, showing the item available, but I couldn't click on the item or anything else. Unpatched, unmodded AoW:SM, running on Vista SP1. Any help would be deeply appreciated!

Hi there, I would suggest to at least patch the version to 1.3. That is the latest official patch, there is also unofficial patch 1.4 - which fixes a few balance issues and I think fixes some bugs.

One other thing I might suggest is to run the game in window mode, you need to run the setup/config program to set this - that way you might find the bug doesn't happen. Once you get past it you can switch back to full screen mode. Just an idea.
