I saw the third screenshot on AoW's store page, and my mind was blown.

I knew the game was good, but I didn't realize it was this awesome.

Screw Civ5, I'm going to take over the world with an army of penguins instead!

The gameworld in these games are really rich. Those penguins look cute marching along, I imagine that they live in some sort of fascistic or militaristic society. Of course they could just be marching since they are soldiers :-)

Truly some dire penguins. Not sure how I feel about the whole penguin aesthetic, but I have to admit it's pretty funny.

In the game I tend not to use penguins too much. They're not as vital on maps without sea hexes, I don't think. Especially after you get a few of the higher level units.

Now, whenever I install a new Linux distro, I think of "Install Dire Penguin".

yes they own, but not fun getting owned by them XD
