Hi there, my name is James Ede. I used to be a regular AoWSM pbem player over on Heavengames. Someone looked me up and got me back into it on this site. I'm just curious if there's any players here i'd remember. Im excited to get back into it, though i have even less time than before to play.

Three of our PBEMs in aow2 are gradually reaching a conclusion, so maybe a new game will be starting soon, naturally with you included. You wouldn't be the only busy family man here.

Welcome! I'm a newbie compared to the HeavenGames crew with only 4-5 years of playing here on Gog. I'm also crazy busy and currently trying to finish off BattleTech, but looking forward to playing some AoW:SM with you eventually. Need to get the large robot itch fully scratched first. :)

Eventually I'll get into AoW:SM I've had it for years upon years, but I've never had the time to finishing getting though AoW2 to be able to start SM. :'(

I've been slowly working through the Wizard's Throne campaign, and all the unit differences between WT and SM (or at least the UPatch, since I don't know how much is SM and how much is UPatch) is amazing.

SM/UPatch also has a large number of Quality Of Life improvements for the player, as well. Like being able to mouse over a hex and see what terrain it is.

Welcome! I am a AoW fan since the beginning (Dutch game studio, released AoW1 when I was a teenager). Shadow Magic is my favourite and I play PBEM here for several years now. Busy family life and work, but generally a PBEM game with 48 max in between turns is doable :)
