Hello, GOG team,

I would like to point your attention towards an obvious oversight, which irks me greatly.
When using the GOG downloader to download AoW3 game files they are split into three directories:
1) \age_of_wonders_3 - the main installer
2) \age_of_wonders_3_deluxe_edition_elven_resurgence - the dragon throne addon
3) \elven_resurgence - the elven resurgence addon

Now, as a proud owner of a lifetime supply of GOG games, I am, in general, against the idea of pointlessly splitting the storage locations - the catalogue is crowded as it is without artificially increasing its size - still I respect your design decisions even when I don't like them.

But this time the mistake is obvious. I presume that, for some technical reason, you are unable to do the logical thing and put all the addons in the \age_of_wonders_3\[addon] subdirectories, but, please, make sure that the directories' names reflect their content and, for god's sake, make them all start with "age_of_wonders_3" so that your clients don't have to search through the whole collection to find an addon.

Thank you in advance.
I tried to contact the support about this.
Other than the wrong download path, some files are repeated between them. It's probably a mistake because for instance files of the deluxe edition are in one of the elven resurgence (the one that have the title of the game in it)
[push]

The downloads are still spread over four directories:
./age_of_wonders_3/
./age_of_wonders_3_deluxe_edition/
./age_of_wonders_3_deluxe_edition_elven_resurgence/
./elven_resurgence/

Please move/copy at least ./elven_resurgence/setup_aow3_elven_resurgence_scenario* to ./age_of_wonders_3_deluxe_edition_elven_resurgence/ for pre-order customers.

The DLC setup is very small and nobody should mind a second download (if the protocol/downloader doesn't support location changes).

Thank you.
I understand that this topic is not high priority, even if it is on GOG's to-do list at all, but with the new special edition games the situation takes a turn to worse.

Now not only does one have to deal with separate non-sequitur folders for each DLC, but with a folder for extras as well.

In my opinion GOG would do us a great service if they reviewed the GOG downloader file storage policy to account for some 800 games currently on sale and stop spawning extra folders, where there is an option for tidier methods.
