Me and a friend of mine bought the game, but we're having trouble getting it to work online.
One hosts, the other searches with the hoster's IP and we get nothing.
No idea how to fix this or where to start. Any ideas?

Have you tried the obvious? Shutting down your firewall.

If you can't get it to work and you have allowed it through your firewall you could always use a program such as game ranger.

Small download and it basically sets up the connection for mulitplayer in supported games automatically so no fiddling about.

make sure it passes your firewall, and after that i might suggest trying port forwarding or logmein hamachi, which is what i do to run a free lancer server, i havent acutally tried aow online yet, if it doesnt work for me either i'll repost
