Since it is on sale, I'm thinking about getting AoW: Shadow magic.
I'd like to know if the game runs nicely at modern (widescreen) resolution, like 1366*768 or higher.

I run the game in 1920x1080, as well as at various random windowed resolutions and everything scales very nicely. The game has aged very well, as I've not had issues with large resolutions or TCP/IP play over internet or LAN (once router ports are forwarded).

I have the original Age of Wonders and I'm finding it virtually unplayable at 1920*1080. While the game, amazingly, supports that resolution in the options, the graphics for units, buildings and the like are darn near microscopic.

I bought the game to play at 1024*600 on my now-ancient netbook, where it plays rather well, but for gaming on my "real" PC I all but need a magnifying glass.
