HI

I just want to start out saying I love the game and do not regret my purchase :). However I do have some questions.

When I decided to buy this game on GOG I had a choice between this and the steam version. Being DRM free I thought I would ignore the ease of steam and the workshop and so on for one major point. I feel more comfortable knowing that if the servers shut down, I still have multiplayer to play. So I was kind of upset that you had to Login to play LAN. I do understand that it protects people from sharing/copying/pirating copies and that is okay really for me but I would like to know one thing. If the servers shut down, would the log in thing be taken off, like in a final update? If that's the case which I'm pretty sure happens with games before its pretty much a non issue, as I still feel as though I OWN my copy.

I know its thinking quite far ahead lol

Also are all the DLCs going to come out fine on both platforms?

Thanks :)

Currently there is no LAN mode, only Online & hot-seat (DRM-Free). Last I heard Triumph was still supposed to be adding async/PBEM equivalent multiplayer to the game, also Mac & Linux support. No idea when or how the DLCs are effecting those timelines. Speaking of DLCs, which ones aren't available here?
Oh right. Luckily it doesn't matter right now and will only be an issue a long while on. Something may be sorted until then I hope. Just like to know as its one of my main reasons buying from GoG over steam with it's workshop, and if there comes a point in time when you cant play online anymore it will be a shame, especially seeing as GoG also seems to dedicate itself on keeping even the older games alive.

No issues with DLC, did seem to have trouble finding Golden Realms for a bit but it was probably my incompetence lol. Just like different platforms (Mac & Linux for example) I wasn't sure whether both versions are updated at the same time or if one takes precedence. Peace of mind topic basically.
