Does anyone know if GOG is going to release at the same hour as Steam?

The game's own twitter account says the game is supposed to release at 18 CEST on Tuesday: Steam, as of writing of this post, says the game will unlock in 1 day and 9 hours, which matches 18 CEST. My GOG preorder, however, is currently saying the game will unlock in 38 and a half hours (see attachment), which is is actually midnight between Tuesday and Wednesday, or 6 hours later than the official release hour.

Is this an error in the GOG release time preview? Or an oversight? I'd really like to play with people who purchased on Steam the moment the game releases there.

I had this exact same question. It does seem GoG is releasing hours after Steam. That sucks.
Sorry to hear that.

When you pre-order the game you can see the timer within your gamelist as layout for the not yet download files. And the time is no guarantee for the exact release time or better said for YOUR ability to download it. I had a game i could download first several hours after the official release when other GOG-Members already had the game. Maybe it has something to do with bandwidth. Nevertheless, Steam mostly is first anyway. But Accounting sucks and DRM-Free is worth the while.
Here's another official tweet saying the release date is supposed to be 18:00 CEST across all platforms. Hopefully the timer is just a placeholder. I purchased on GOG because I'd like to support the site, but stuff like this makes it harder to compete with Steam.
Looks like the release timer was changed to be in line with the Steam release; 18:00 CEST.
