Well, it might sound dumb, but now after release of DLCs/expansion and couple of patches, I can't realize the order of installation.

What I have now on Download page:

1) AoW3 base game = 2Gb
2) Patch 1.549 = 708Mb
3) Patch 1.555 = 20Mb

4) Elven Resurgence = 7Mb
5) Deluxe Edition upgrade = 7Mb
6) Golden Realms = 61Mb
7) Eternal Lords = 78Mb

And what I have to do with all of it? :)

Only one button to click in the Gog Galaxy. That said, I have no idea if it installs the game properly. I already messed up the "import games on your computer already" part of the process.

AoW3 base game (2GB includes patch 1.549) -> Patch 1.555 = 20Mb -> Add the DLCs you want (keep the order 4-5-6-7 as you wrote it) but I think this doesn't matter.

Thanks, I already tried it via GOG Galaxy as Mimo said. All right. Safe the game itself. It's bad, alas.
Awkward 3D what is shoved now in every thing, ruines all the magic. Monstrosities as my "heroes', awkward battlefields, awkwardness everywhere. Uninstalled. No need for Endless Whatever, Worlds of Whatever, Age of Whatever. Dominions 4 is the best fantasy TBS at the moment (and in near future, I suppose).

Opinions are opinions. AoW III with patch 1.555 and the DLCs is the best fantasy TBS ever made, except for MoM, in my opinion. It is a deep game with a great variety and amazing mechanics.

Dominions has different philosophy and Mechanics. Never liked it.

Well, as for amount of variety in everything (races, units, spells, strategies, tactics etc) AoW3 is an evident underdog to Dominions. AoW3 is quite a "standard", maybe best of standard TBS, maybe but... Not outstanding. So if one wants to try a nowaday "standard" - let one play AoW3. If one wants something more - it's Illwinter's realm.

Did I say that AoW III has the best AI in a TBS game? ;).

*In my opinion*, Dominions lack depth in both the strategy and combat layers. You can say it is different but in a more "simplistic" way of difference.

So, I could say that, if someone wants a more simplistic experience with, admittedly, great variety in units and spells, let them play Dominions. If they want a great depth TBS with competent AI and amazing mechanics(that can hardly be called "standard") AoW III is the game ;).

You probably played the other Dominions... :)

Anyway, as an old Russian anecdote says, "I don't like cats. - You just don't know how to cook them."

Indeed. I will have to check the new version, then. If you are right, I could change my mind. However, I have read a couple of discussions comparing Dominions to AoW III and people could not really say much about Dominions that could, even remotely, challenge the depth of AoW III gameplay(not to mention the graphics, music, AI etc). In fact, dominions supporters never presented any positives about the game. So, I took that as not having to say anything of note.

I will check a couple of let's plays on you-tube and I will come back to you :).
Any suggestions?

I just checked a lets play. Same stuff as the previous versions. The most simplistic combat system ever that you have almost no control on and a heavy statistical strategy layer with apparently myriads of options but with only a very very few working ones. Of course, I am not going to even talk about graphics, music and AI comparisons. Nor for the lack of any real tactical options on the strategic layer. In AoW III you have units with concealment, invisibility, overland spells and more more more.
Dominions is a statistically heavy strategic game with no tactical layer worth of mentioning whatsoever. Apart from the need to carefully measure statistics, the whole system is really simplistic.

It is a complete different type of game, now that I think of it better. There cannot be any real comparison between them. It could compare to Europa Universalis, maybe, and that type of games.

So, my opinion stands. AoW III is definitely the best TBS fantasy game bar MoM.(That makes it the best modern Fantasy TBS).

I have no need to convince you in anything. If it's enough for you to watch some let's-plays to evaluate a game - blaze away! Dominions world is not for everyone.
I can't bear more of all this STANDARD hobbitses-elfses-orcses stuff wrapped in graphics for schoolboys flavoured with texts for schoolgirls.

Have a nice game.

I do not think that any of us is trying to convince the other of anything. AoW III is a game that follows the path set by MoM so long ago.
Dominions is a different type of game. I did not claim you *have to* like AoW III, I just said my opinion on why I think AoW III is a great game.

Just like AoW III is not for everyone, so Dominions is not for everyone.
I have played Dominions 3 and I decided that this type of game is not for me. Too boring for my liking. However, I did not go to any Dominions Forum and say that the game sucks because it was not the right type of game for me.
You did do the equivalent so, I think it was normal for the contrary opinion to be heard. It is a *forum* after all and forums exist so that people can have *discussions*.

I am sorry that you wasted your money in a game that you do not like and I wish you to have a nice game in any game you enjoy.

I don't care about money much. It's not so big money after all, and it's not a waste of money. For my money I have had some lessons. Never preorder, for example. Or never play modern 3D remakes of old games (AoW3 is the remake of two prequel games in the end, just peppered over with RPG-esque powder).

So let's play our favorite games whatever they are.
Damn, I now reinstalled it just to check my experience one more time.
Man, I just can't play it. It looks like piece of shit, doesn't matter on what graphics settings - from "Low" to "Ultra" it is absolutely ugly, on Ultra even uglier, 'cause on Low you at least don't see all of these obtrusive streaking polygons under the "soapy" view.

I can't force myself to fathom the "depths" of mechanics when I see this monstrosity. They brag with numbers on their site to show that AoW3 is "3-times" better and bigger than predecessors in terms of quantity of units, abilities and spells. Not even starting to talk about units and spells, what I see right away? For example: two abilities with absolutely identical description and effect - "Mounted" and "Cavalry". Man, one could invent 9 of identical abilities with different name for each race, and so on.

And even forgetting about all of this stupid promotional crap, I'd be able to play it, maybe, perhaps - if it would be done in 2D. In its present (and final) visual form - it's a real shit. They have ruined the game that could be at least playable, though obviously worse than prequels.
Alas, yet another good series is dying, following many other big TBS names, like Heroes, Master of Orion, Warlords, Civilization, Disciples.
