There's the following files to download:

- Original game installer 2.2.0 (1.9gb)
- xmas update incl patch 1.432 (64mb)
- DLC deluxe edition dragons throne 2.2.1 (7.8mb)

Install them in this order?

Yes.
That was the order I installed them a few months ago.

You could have bought just the basic game, installed, patched and played it. You should be able to install any DLCs later on.
