Mimo has suggested that I start another game or two, maybe even a large map.

For starters I think Prison Break http://aow2.heavengames.com/downloads/showfile.php?fileid=954 looks like good material. It's Medium size.

Once the usual suspects have affirmed this choice of map I will begin the turn log and the game.

Still thinking about what larger map could be played.
That looks good to me. Count me in.

I'm definitely in and appreciate you taking the time to hunt down playable maps. I'll play any of the four races with minimal complaining. :-)

Also up for a second, larger map too. I suggested to Southern via PM that we play a co-op game or something that lends itself to co-op. Big map with 4-8 wizards so we have some AI to pick on before the real battles begin. Catermune and I on one team and Southern/Vitek on the losing team! It's pre-ordained.

I'll assume Vitek is in. I'll set up Prison Break in the next day or two.

I was going to suggest 'Secrets of Marlenia' but then I checked and found the turn log for when you played that map a couple years ago...... oh dear. I don't think you chaps would have been amused by that suggestion. Edit: same story with gates of Elocin.

There are some lovely 8-player maps out there. Would it be viable to play one of those with 4 wizards set to AI? Alternatively, what if each player had control of two Wizards? I think that could work well for the 'Marlenes Schatten' Map.

Looking through some of the available large and extra-large maps, I think I am going to get nightmares seeing all these insane independent stacks.

What about The 'Race to Death- Rise of Evil' map for our larger 2v2 map?

Just look at this graph and notice the green part of it.

What am I saying with this? That I have little interest to ever return to Rise of Evil map. There isn't much maps where I struggled since start to finsih like I did in this one.

Sounds like a good plan!

Ignore Vitek and his Rise of Evil complaining. That map was one of the most fun I've ever played. We each started in a corner and had to aggressively use dominate to create our stacks. Poor Vitek wouldn't even ally with the rest of us because he was so embarrassed at his meager green holdings. ;-)

(Actually, there are a bunch of Rise of Evil maps and most are kind of crazy. Btw, I have zero memory of any of the maps played over a year ago. I'm not opposed to replaying any of them.)

Great fun, all the time.

I really loved how we had to make use of dominate/seduce to gain units.
I had one hero with seduce I think and she/he was constantly fighting willpowered units.
The I had another one on the other side of map, who had drain will but didn't have any kind of dominate.
It was really funny.

Also, we should play some Epic map. Every map named epic so far was great source of thrill and fun. :-p

I have chosen a map that balances the principles of playability and torturing Vitek, for maximum amusement.
I am grateful.
