My idea how to redesign the city / structure window - to remove the need to go inside the city.

Here is how it would look in the game

Each time I open city panel I'm confused where on the map is this city. Especially if I scroll to the next city. Here is my idea how I would solve it.

Feature of this design:
1. Next/Prev city - little arrows on the side of city name
2. all 6x main option in city (Merchand, upgrade, migration, loot raze..)
3. All unit production and installation available. PLUS they are convenient adjusted by 4 as tiers.

4. what is currently produce in city, is display in the right picture. If you click installation of Paladin, his avatar would be display on the right.

5.
all information is squeeze into this window. but If you expand it downwards, more text info will appear.

6.
If you double click the picture on the right, classic city window would pop-up

7.
if you click Migration. The unit grid above the button would be replaced by list of available races to migrate

this is wish ONLY - "what if I could change it". I dont know how to do it.
I really like that layout
Great idea. Did you know that most of the interface is embedded into AoW.exe as RCDATA? I have no experience with this whatsoever but I believe you can use tools like Resource Hacker to edit the in-game windows.
Thanks for info, I check the resource hacker and as you said the UI data for each windows are in aow.exe. Unfortunetly Im too stupid to understand RCData.

========below my gibberish, non sense, to help me if I ever look on it again =================

TCityScreen contain all objects which are covering functions like Migration (f.ex MigratePnl) that should be imported into .... other file, not sure which

ILFrame = IntGfxMod.GenericF

genericF is a grahic ilb file, in INT folder

hmm.. i cannot locate each of the names in RCDATA with graphics in game folder

Graphic resources are in CelticDeco and genericB... .ilb files.

EventIcn.ilb & LBIcon.ilb contain small icons, that could be useful for buttons.

======================
edit:

this idea is missing:

loop queue button
list of queue troops being produced

loop could be in the top of picture (instead of Merchandise)
Merchandise, i guess would have to be extra bottom button.

list of troops -?? not sure where to squeeze. Instead of the right picture i guess. or some switch with unit icon? You would not be able to add it into the queue, then.
