Start the game using "beatrix" in the command line (right click shortcut, located in properties)
While in game, use <ctrl> <shift> C. You will hear a chime. Start typing the cheat code. If I recall correctly, you won't see a text line, just type anyway.

Forgive my computer ignorance but once I go in Properties which is the command line; nothing says "command line."

In Target. You have to add it after the path to the program.

Also, by default, it seems GOG creates a shortcut to the launcher, instead of the game exe. So change "Launcer.exe" to "AoW.exe" and change AoWcompat to beatrix if you want cheats.

See attached. In your case the game is probably installed in a different directory, so don't change the installation path.

Thanks for the answer but I am still trying to get it to work. My Target is different from the one you showed; a much longer one and in the C drive. It accepts beatrix but nothing happens in game when I control/shift/C. But, again, it was nice of you to take the time.

ZFR, I am working on sending a screenshot, as the target path is VERY long. I know this stuff is easy for most people but I have never done this before. Am googling how to do it and will figure it out soon. - Thanks

Sort of related, sort of off topic...

You should probably change your default Gog install directory to something simple like ZFR has done. Mine is the same as his, a Games folder on the main drive. Default install buries it in a difficult location that is sometimes prohibited from making changes like command line executables.

Same rule applies to Steam libraries, Epic libraries, etc. Don't let 'em install in the default Windows location.

Click inside target.

Ctrl+A to select all.
Ctrl+C to copy.
Ctrl + V to paste here.
