I think you should pick something that reflects the purpose of the patch. Is it for multiplayer games? Will it be the foundation for an HSS mod? Something else entirely? Whatever it is, use a descriptive name.
We want to give separate name for something that would be a variant of AoW+, with the multiplayer in mind.
it still would be 90% AoW+. it would be faster hero progression, i think thats the main aim of it, and you would propose some changes that would balance the game, so the maximum amount of tactic, and units would have an use in game. Please dont forget nerfing most OP stuff that you can figure out, is vital.

thats why AoW= Equal Engine mod, is a neat name. Because its my idea, and im the smartest here.

Lagi_: is there any way to prevent some unit from being transportable, without giving them Transport ability?
maybe add some ability that can prevent unit from being put into transport?

And G: This issue has been on my mind for a while since I'm also working on a campaign where I would like to have ships without transport capability. Ideally these ships should even be in the same stack, but expend movement points like normal. Unfortunately I haven't found a solution so far.
if you stand at stairs hex (object cave, id44) to underground, the game is making check if all unit has enough MP, if not there is monit about splinting group.

could the same logic be apply ships?

game check if ships (*how to check for only specific ships id?*) trying to joint transport ships (replace in code of object id44) has 3.4 bilion MoveP. If not monit popup: "would you like to split party?".

obviously i dont know anything about hex editing.
As a guideline, if it seems like it might be complicated in any way and I haven't already implemented it then it's likely impossible.

IniochReborn: I guess my concern is that producing Galleons so quickly just seems OP with FM/WW available. Makes Air Galleys feel pointless too.
There is a special place in lore for airborne ships. It's a shame the upkeep cost of FM/WW/FH can't be scaled based on unit size. <-- This would make all of the difference
Hi And G! Played 1.45 this weekend = LOVED IT!

The AI is now 4x as strong as they used to be....the combination of them being more aggressive + being able to instantly buy up cities that players could never afford = AI is now to be feared!

I AM LOVING THIS! ....granted, getting killed makes me momentarily annoyed.... :P

So happy you removed the FM ships! Thank you for that!


1.45 is pretty much perfect (from my humble perspective)!

Frostlings dislike ice/snow (on surface)?
No, where does it say any of that?
From terrains.txt:


Frostlings:
- Dislike all underground terrains except ice.
- Hate wasteland and desert.

Azracs:
- Dislike wasteland and all underground terrains except ice.
- Hate ice/snow.

Azracs don't seem unhappy on desert terrain in my 1.45 games.

Welcome Swolte! You've come at a good time.....nothing this interesting has happened on the AoW front in nearly 2 decades....

....just realized that I'm old.....
Playing the campaign through....really loving this mod! It's like a whole new experience/challenge.....the AI is so tough now, were before on Hard = was still way too easy! 1.45 is PERFECT!!!

As far as my desire (obsession) with getting Leadership modified (+1ATT/+1DEF/+1RES...and maybe +4MOV).....it seems to be more a lore based game concept. Leaders (and Heroes) should be able to be leaders....right?

So...should my 'Leadership' obsession be mentioned here, or in the 'Common Bespoke Downgrade' topic?

Since the Leadership description is defined in a resource file and AoW+ will never contradict in-game descriptions this is not something I am looking at for AoW v1.4x.
