After having downloaded the soundtrack of Age of Wonders, my eye caught the fact that the titles of the songs of the soundtrack are incomplete. I remember I copied the .IT audio files from the old CD version of AoW to my harddrive. At least that's what I remember. I was only 12 when I played it.

You may find me naggy about this but I thought I'd post this on the forum so everyone knows the original titles of the songs. Some people may want to burn the audio files to a CD to play them in their car and perhaps want to write the names of the songs on the label.

I'll list the GoG AoW Soundtrack: here followed by the original title. The numbers are the order in which it is displayed in my files.
The titles are:

What's strange is that I have two more .IT files called: 25 - in company of Elves (from Demoversion) and 26 - Victory Sunset (From Demoversion)

Does that mean the GoG version of the age of wonders soundtrack forgot to add these?

Actually the mp3 files from the GOG version of the soundtrack are just the olt Impulsetracker Module (.IT) files converted. Considering that Winamp is able to play the .IT files its better to have them since they are much smaller.

IT as well as the old MOD format are a hybrid between wave and MID files, with sampled instruments contained in the file and a sequence of tones and durations describing the song.

The quality of the MP3 files is the soundtrack is all the same as the IT.

The demo contained the above song/variant (and a few other differing versions) not utilized in the final game.

Well I contacted GoG and my message has been forwarded to the producement team or something like that. So the titles will be fixed and the demo songs will be included in the sound track in the near future.

Thank you for providing these song titles. GoG still hasn't fixed them, and I was scouring the internet trying to find the titles to put into the ID3 tags.


I believe that your track name for "Mirages" is incorrect. For the time being, I named the song 'Mirages' and put it as #3. Your listing has track #23 doubled.

Yeah, it might have some mistakes in it. I will have to check at a later time to see if aI made any.

I think it is:
Mirages -> (03) Mirages

Oh, yeah I see it now, however they never changed the titles of the audio files and I doubt they ever will. Way to nectro a thread by the way :P
