Anyone knows how you can generate a Random Map in AOW III and then being able to Edit it? I know where the scenario editor is, but it looks you cannot generate a Random Map from the editor. I also tried to create a Random Map scenario, but it looks you cannot go and edit it anywhere in the Game Directory. Any other suggestions?

Not an answer, but this sorta makes sense. Usually folks want a random map to eliminate players knowing where things are and optimizing movements / strategy.

Have you checked the Triumph or Steam forums? This forum isn't very active with regard to AoW:3 Q&A...

AOW SM had this feature where you can edit a random map or a preexisting map. I didn't have any luck on STEAM

I'm no programmer, but I own multiple strategy games that can generate a map which can then be edited. Some can edit saved games too. Why is AoW3 lacking this? Seems very weak.
