I got this yesterday and started playing a Let's Play. Never played or heard of this before. So far I like it a lot.
Spears oh man how much I like spears! It's such a shame they are not in more games.

If anyone wants to have a look with my slow start (training, character creation, first mission) here is the link for the first episode.

More episodes will be released every day or something like that.

The playlist will be at

Right now of course it has only one video. :)

I don't normally watch Let's Play videos, but I wanted to see yours because you didn't know anything about Age of Decadence when you started. I didn't get to see the whole video, but I enjoyed the first 30 minutes or so.

You've probably discovered this by now, but I'll answer a couple of your questions:

THC stand for To-Hit-Chance.

A grifter is also called a con-artist, or a confidence man. This is a kind of person who will sell you some property, take your money, then disappear. Later you find out he never owned the property he sold you. Unlike a regular thief, who just tries to steal your money, a grifter tricks you into giving your money to him. This kind of life is also called The Grift.

Indefatigable means "can't be defeated," or "invincible."

Thank you for watching. :) Also thank you for the info. :)

Any idea what AoO means? I got it as pop up text when I hovered the mouse over a nearby tile while in battle and next to enemy characters.

An AoO is an Attack of Opportunity. When you move away from your enemy, trying to disengage, your enemy will try to attack you - you are giving it the opportunity to attack.

I figured out it meant chance of getting hit, I just couldn't figure out what the words were. Thank you very much.
The second part is up. I have to say, for a game which relies so much on text, it's intense!

I won't be updating this thread with newer episodes as anyone who wants to keep watching can easily do so with the known ways. I don't want to spam the forum.
In case anyone wants to check later parts of my (been told) terrible let's play of this game, you can find all the parts so far on https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtpqh8ebqvxdfwH_VBVwGLS5gW8Fdfpag
I am at part 4 and going at a rate of 1 per day or two. Excluding weekends which is mostly a retro weekend for my channel.

One thing that I can say so far with my experience with this game is that I like it, even though it is a tough sob. Having said that, I don't find it tougher than for example the first part of Arcanum (when you are a new player to that game).

Good luck.

Hope you enjoy the game.
