I used to have a 24", 1920x1200 monitor which played the Windows version of Afterlife fullscreen at native resolution. I then upgraded to a 30", 2560x1600 monitor, but Afterlife only ran in a 1920x1200 window at first. Changing the INI file allowed it to run at 2560x1600 briefly, right before it crashed.
Further experimentation shows the maximum supported x resolution is 2239 and the maximum supported y resolution is 1399. These seem like fairly strange numbers to me as they're not anything obvious in hexadecimal.
It's not related to the number of pixels; 1600x1399 works and 1600x1400 doesn't, while 2239x1200 works and 2240x1200 doesn't. And 2239x1399 works as well.
Has anyone ever gotten the Windows version of this game to work with higher resolutions, or, conversely, gotten it to work with lower resolutions full-screen? I'd be fine with 1920x1200 if I could make that full screen.
