So far, only the Win9x version appears to have 1.1 installed. Is there a way to get this patch for the DOS version? Judging by comparing the two, it squashed countless bugs as well as allowed regular widescreen support. I can even run the Win9x version in 1920x1080!

Still, this makes modern resolutions a Windows exclusive feature, and the Win9x version has all sorts of problems like broken tutorials and iMuse issues. Is there a way this patch can be set up for the MS-DOS/DosBox versions?

Don't know about a Dos patch, but after a quick search I found a batch file that fixes issues with the win9x version here.

Apparently the problem has to do with multiple cpu cores interfering with the game (which was made before multi-core cpu's were a thing).
1.1 for dos was a fixpatch for older soundcards that had issues with Afterlife's music system
