Did the GOG version include the Red Shell spyware and, if so, was it removed here when they patched it out of the Steam version last week?

Answered on Steam forums.

Red Shell was never activated, patch that will remove it completely is due to go live today.

Thanks for the information!

I've now downloaded v1.0.4.2 which has Red Shell removed (according to the change log).
