I downloaded absolute_drift_enUS_d14b5a4_54435.pkg from my account and it doesn't work after installing the game. I launch the game and then freezes at the starting white screen. Tried on two different mac systems 10.14.6 and and 12.2.1. I have a 2019 iMac and think my model is new enough for the game to support.

How can I download a older version that worked before? Or can this be fixed?

If you don't keep an older copy of the installer, there's no way to get an older build.

Could you please send us the log file, so we can investigate the issue.It should be in:
~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log
(you need to un-hide the Library folder in your home directory)

If there are output_log.txt and/or crash.dmp files in the same folder, please zip them and send them as well. You can email them to support at funselektor.com or use whichever file sharing service is comfortable for you and share the link here.

And thank you for the tip to keep my own archives, I wasn't aware that GOG doesn't allow customers to rollback versions in case of issues like STEAM allows. Now that I know I will make sure to keep older versions.

Thank you! We'll check it out! At first glance it looks like some library dependency issue.

I assume you don't have GOG Galaxy installed, but you might be able to downgrade through the client: https://docs.gog.com/gc-rollback/
I suggest giving it a go.

If you install GOG Galaxy, before you downgrade the game please check if the latest version will work through Galaxy and let me know.

Unfortunately GOG Galaxy is a disaster for my Mac. I've installed and uninstalled it so many times because it only crashes on my Mac. Reading what other Mac users also experienced with GOG Galaxy I've given up on it.

I'm not in any rush to play the game. Covid19 restrictions are lifted and we can go fishing again!

I have same issue. Mac Air (2020 with M1). After starting game from GOG -> screen goes white and nothing happens.

Could you please email us the logs as well? It could be great, if you could try running it with Galaxy too.

it's same if I run it via GOG galaxy or via binary itself.
I just bought the game, so don't know about pre-update.

Hello, hope you are still here. Getting same bug (stuck at white screen after launch) on Macbook Air M1 with OS 13.3. I'm using gog offline installer (I don't want to use Galaxy). Is there something I can do?

IIRC, that was fixed a year ago, so the fix should be in the latest installer. I say, first restart your computer and see if it helps. Next, you could download the installer again and do a fresh install. Make sure to do the integrity check to confirm the installer has no issues. If you're still having issues, collect the game logs and send them to us via some cloud storage or email - see my earlier comment for more info. If you decide to email them, please mention why you're sending the logs, though ;)

I tried to restart, redownload and reinstall, it's still the same, which is interesting because previous posters have the same problem and it was fixed for them. I tried to start game with different resolution, windowed etc., no luck. I sent an email with player.log, I hope it helps.

Thank you for the log! It looks like the same issue, so I wonder if something changed on MacOS.

We pushed a new AD release yesterday, so if you could try the new version, that would be great. If it still ends up as a white screen, please send the log for that session.

Also, if you're launching the game from a shortcut in the Dock, could you try launching it from the installation folder instead or vice versa?
