According to GOG the version for Linux is available, but I can't find it anywhere.

Greetings.
Same here. Can download only the Windows and Mac versions.
According to the game card: Linux version will be available at a later date.

Yes, I had also not read the little sentence at the end of the system requirements:
"Linux version will be available at a later date."
and hurried to the download to see that GNU/Linux is missing ...
but at least this is known and will soon change ... hoping the best!

As Steam offers a Linux version, it should be just a matter of getting rid of
the DRM ... which is always welcome not to see!

Was the 1st to mention it still lacking on the comments of its giveaway page
while others had the same impression that it is NOW available under Linux.
We will see - Linux users must be patient - updates are 3 day late at least -
and sometimes stopped totally while there are updates for other platforms ...

Hopefully "Linux version will be available at a later date" is not like "Galaxy will be available at a later date".
Let's indeed hope for the native version, as controllers don't seem to work in the Windows version under Wine.
I came here for this exact issue, glad to see I'm not the only one.
I am also patiently waiting for the linux release :(
So, any word on the Linux version five weeks later? I really don't want to complain because it was a giveaway, and we all know the saying about gift horses. I'd still love to play that game on Linux, though.
Just released!

Well, technically it is released - and I made a changelog:
* https://www.gog.com/forum/absolute_drift/changelog
but it seems to be broken [1.0g (49143)] and I contacted the devs ...

Invoking start.sh results in a white screen with mouse cursor, no sound - just fozen ...
and could close it via KDE ...
There is a library message in Player.log ... but this does not seem to be the problem.

If I get any info I will put it at the end of the changelog ...

Same issue, looks like there are problems with unity libraries shipped with the game.

I am lacking the reason for 'same' ... as this is Unity 2017 - which should not cause problems.
But I was not willing to spend much time into getting the reason - especially as the involved people
should find it really fast ...
At least I hope that this is fixed in days - and not weeks.

And it is really striking that a good deal of GNU/Linux updates and 1st build on GOG are completely broken -
so there is no QA on GOG side for a long while - thus the updates should at least be released same day
they were sent in by developers/publishers.
There is a lot to improve ... and it really has to get better!
Player.log:

Initialize engine version: 2017.4.16f1 (7f7bdd1ef02b)
..
CheckGetLoaded: Argument cannot be null.
Parameter name: path
...
---------------------UNITY 5.6.0b11---------------------
Then again, the controller problem with the Windows version seems to have been fixed: version 1.0g works with Wine 6.15.
