Funny, decided to check back on this post and the game is still causing all this GPU trouble.. I still hav not played this game yet and I;m pretty sure I paid full price when it came out ( 15$ ).. Oh well... Please if anyone ever figures this out.. please send me a PM or post here... I've tried everything I can think of possible.. Thanks
Same problem here with a Geforce 570 GTX unter Win7. After a few minutes of playing the GPU-fan is going nuts.
Same here. I got this game and then read about the GPU issues before I got a chance to play it. Now I'm afraid to play it until I hear confirmation that this is no longer an issue across the board. I used to check to see if it was fixed vigilantly and now it next to never.
But thought I'd add my 2 pence to the voice of the few posts above me.
Well, i have played this game for a while. I think a little hour or so. Defeated the first boss, continued north-west, upgraded a party member. Then after a while i saved and quit. And my graphic card still lives. Still be able to play saints row the third with everything on maximum settings, same goes for every other game, like hunted the demon's forge and dragon age: origins.
I haven't looked to the temperature though when i played aarklash. But if my gpu was overheated i would have know that and also smelled it then.
I wonder with which tool you guys have looked for the temperature. Speedfan?

I recommend MSI AfterBurner. You can use OSD to see temp in-game (there's a overlay hide button too) but also VRAM usage, GPU core usage, fan speed, CPU temp, framerate etc..

FYI, out of curiousity I tried the game with my new GTX 970 and damn, it didn't even hit 55C and CPU was around 40-42C as well. Granted, I bought the EVGA version that comes with a fancy aftermarket cooler called ACX.

Ah, Afterburner. That one works with every card as well.
Forgot to mention; i use a radeon r7 260x royalqueen, club3D version.
Hi,

Can someone test if it's still a GPU burner ? I have a mini ITX case so it's a little bit complicated to manage this kind of temperature...

I don't know if I'd call it a "burner".

My GPU is an EVGA GTX 1060 OC - which has a good cooling system.

Running at 1920x1200 with settings maxed out the GPU temp leveled out at 163f (73c) - fan under 1,000 rpm

FXAA on or off didn't seem to make much difference.

quit the game, let GPU cool off.

Restarted with VSynch turned on

GPU Temp leveled off at 154-156f. (68c) - fan under 650 rpm.

Those are a little lower than the numbers I get on Victor Vran - where the GPU temps hit the mid 160s.
