So the game is all nice and shiny, but I wanted to read something more about this new setting get more info about different combat mechanics and other useful stuff, so no manual, or am I just blind and can't find it?

You are correct. There is no manual, and I agree that it would be nice to have one. I guess the devs felt the tool tips to be enough.
