Time after time I find myself forced to use a fixed pre-scripted solution for a given situation.

Trying to get past a spot, be it rats or people, can only be done in the way the devs scripted it even though several of the tools available should be able to be used successfully.

If I do manage to get past something in a way the devs didn't script the scene, then the game bugs out and the chapter must be restarted.

Often I waste my resources trying to guess which tool the script is waiting for me to use when several could do the job.

This makes the game more irritating then enjoyable.
