The reviews are rigged. Other platforms (like Steam) have more honest reviews.
This was a great concept, but poorly implemented. It totally plays like LGTBQIA+ activists were like, “Now’s our chance!” And is filled with gameplay-unrelated testimonials which, while moving, are not at all how people communicate on message boards.
Sorry, the game is too on-the-nose. And everyone who says so gets smeared in the reviews. The music is fantastic! The sequel fixed many of the issues with this first one. But it is what it is, and no amount of review rigging is going to change what people feel after making a purchase. Might as well let them know up front.
