How can I bring up the inventory on my mac as I only have a touch pad and no right click. Do I really have to resort to a mouse?

Isn't right clicking with a single button mouse achieved by pressing CTRL or command button with the mouse click?

You should also be able to chose which right-click method you prefer in System Preferences->Trackpad->Point & Click->Secondary click (though Ctrl-click should always work too).
