I played the game in 2017, but stopped after I got stuck in Fay's first mission. After a billion updates, or at least, it seemed that way to me, and after watching Ross's game dungeon video of this game, I finally beat it. Although I still needed help with some parts, due the usual incomprehensible decisions taken by developers who make these genre of games.

Salvador was a bad-ass, he probably killed about 9 people, but I don't understand why he was such an arsehole, especially in the beginning of the game, towards Fay?

The voice acting is pretty bad, which makes it good, kind of. It does seem like they were phoning it in.

"Are you hurt?"
"I think I broke my leg!"
"Does that hurt?"
"YES! YES, GODDAMIT! YES!"

The art and animation in this game are fabulous. I found that puzzles were mostly logical. I looked up a hint twice; once was my fault (I didn't realize that there were two hot spots with the same name so I thought I had already tried the solution) and the other was because of a bug (not being able to open inventory).

Which takes us to the bad parts: too many bugs for a "Final Cut" release: inventory not working at certain points, some commands left untranslated, subtitles not matching the dialogue, the game closing suddenly near the end (hopefully there was an autosave), and I don't seem to be able to watch the credits (they are cut to show an in-credits scene and never go back). The story was over-the-top (and the science sometimes was just plain wrong), but I was able to enjoy it as one would an old catastrophe movie from the 70s or 80s. The voice acting for Fay was cringe-inducing but the rest of the main cast was OK.

What irks me is how everybody cut Salvador so much slack after murdering an innocent, and then in the end they are surprised things turn the way they did.
