I've noticed that it really isn't getting talked about much right now. When most people talk about indie games, they're almost always talking about either Cuphead or Divinity Original Sin 2. Those are great games, don't get me wrong, but the fact that very few people have even mentioned A Hat in Time in discussions about indie games kind of has me worried that this game will end up going under the radar and not get the success it deserves.
I have seen YouTubers ranging from smaller channels like Nitro Rad and AntDude, to bigger names like Jesse Cox, Dodger, and Projared talk of it. Plus, according to the studio's twitter, the game has sold 50,000 units, which is apparently "insane" for an indie studio. So I wouldn't worry. It's not the talk of the town, but those are are interested are spreading the word and supporting it.
Funnily enough, it was actually through Ant Dude that I even know about this game. I just really hope the game finds the success it deserves, because until I played it, I didn't realize how much I missed the golden age of 3D platformers. Plus, admittedly, the cutesy light-hearted tone was a nice break from the gritty, violent games that I'm accustomed to :P
^Same. I found out about it during developement when ProJared played the beta(?) version of it and made a note to definitely check on this game upon release.
I saw it on JimSterling channel. I'm glad i picked this up, is pretty fun. My only concern is the cam being too close sometimes

You and me both. The camera gets way too chummy way too easily.

In settings, deactivate Auto Camera in game settings. This helps a lot, no more camera movement. Now the game is more Awesome.
