YES PLEASE. The German localization is rather good, but I still perfer to play in English.

The only workaround I found was "modding" the game. Open the game folder, then open Data, Mods, Text. In this folder you find a file called "STUB_Master_Text_Mod_Unicode.csv". Copy this file and rename it "Master_Text_Mod_Unicode.csv". This should make everything in English.

It didn't work but thanks for trying
The game supports six languages but it seems the devs did not activate at least the Galaxy option for easy language change since that option is greyed out in Galaxy. Granted I would expect an options in the in game options to change language.

That option is for games that have separate language versions, not for ones that have all the languages in the game :)
I found a way to change it... But this should be configurable via GUI in the first place!

Edit the goggame-*.info files in your game folders. Hordes has 1 such file, Armies may has two due to the DLC. For me it was sufficient to just change the .info files for the base games. Note: After that you must restart Galaxy. Don't know what happens after an update. We'll see. Just add it to the ingame settings or profile already, Petroglyph.

Add the following bold "arguments" line. Don't copy from here, formatting is broken. But mind the file's structure and don't forget the trailing comma. Example with context:

"playTasks": [
{
"category": "game",
"isPrimary": true,
"name": "8-bit Armies",
"path": "ClientLauncherG.exe",
"arguments": "LANGUAGE=EN-US",
"type": "FileTask"
},
{
"link": "http://www.gog.com/support/8bit_armies",
"name": "Support",
"type": "URLTask"
}
],

Or add "Language=EN-US" to your link on the Deskop or similar

DE-DE for German, probably similar language codes for the others, but I haven't tested.

btw would be good to be able to edit those through Galaxy, at least I haven't found the option yet.
Does not work for me After updating the file, Galaxy deletes game from list and if I use import folder, it will be back, but then Galaxy will update the game and replace the file, deleting the new line. Looks like the devs are using Steam method of changing language and as we already know it is not working with Galaxy.

Some update also erased the line from my config file, so I had to do it again. Do not forget to restart Galaxy, after that it works perfectly fine for me.
But still, about time to get this in the UI done, Galaxy offers the functionality and the 8-bit games use other features like achievements, so its not just thrown here onto GOG without any changes compared to the Steam version.

This worked for me perfectly fine. My shortcut now contains the following text:
"C:\Spiele\8-bit Armies\ClientLauncherG.exe" "Language=EN-US"

Thanks a lot!
