I think I'll enjoy it a bit more if it was a bit slower. Within the span of 10 minutes I'm sure I can field far over a hundred tanks based on the single player missions I've played. I would be curious to see what the game would be like with all production speeds halved and all costs doubled.

But that is just from my SP experience. For those who've played multiplayer matches. How do you feel about the pace?
I have to admit that I've always preferred the comparatively slower paced rts games like Warcraft 3 and Dawn of War, at least when it comes to multiplayer.

I agree this game is abit too fast phased to my liking. I loved to be able to play a single game for an hour or 2. Just enjoying it.
Building up defences for turtling and such.

You dont have time to really enjoy such things here. Its too fast and simple.

The pace is to fast for multiplayer. If you are not really a fast, very responsive player you will definitely be dead in 10 minutes. There is really no time (irony) to take your time and enjoy the building aspects since you are forced to build base very fast and spawn units constantly. As said most MP games are finished in 10 minutes. You are basically being driven to be as fast as possible.

Fact is this game does not allow turtling. Its just impossible to do, be it in campaign or skirmish, since the AI will harrass you at once and destroy you if you don't respond and in multiplayer the very weak defense turrets will be destroyed in a few seconds. This is the part of the game really that its missing. There is no defense building that would offer you any serious option for defense.

When I think about older C&C games (Red Alert 1 in this case) you could easily hold back enemies by building pillboxes, turrets on the allied side or for soviets tesla coils and flame towers. On both sides combined with artilery (V2 launcher or artilery) there was a nice turtling option. Also the game is missing any serious air defense buildings.

I wish that the campaign was slower paced and would give you more time.

Its still C&C just updated to a more faster playsytle.

Idk. I had success with rush defence in this games campaign. You just gonna do it at the start.
But it is abit too fast phased compared to the old C&C games.
And i miss bieng able to spend hours on a single game and not feel like i allready had everything in the first 10 min.
More defences. Slower Phased combat.
Maybe buildings that unlock other special buildings. And then buildings that unlock special units.
But slower phase gameplay would really be appreciated. So you can really enjoy the game in full. And actually have time to appreciate and enjoy what you have build.
