It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

8BitArmies: Ok, just got done looking at it with the engineer. There are a few things we noticed...

* Your crash dump file does not have the same signature as other issues we're looking at. It seems to be an exception where other issues are "grouped together".

* Within the log files we received, the drivers are reporting that the graphics card is not responding correctly (and then there's some language about shaders that I won't pretend to understand).

* The fact that the game is working properly, then dies about 10 minutes in may suggest a heat problem of some kind.

So, after looking at it, he explained it as a "Graphics Card Freak-Out" - not the most technical term, but maybe applicable here. So, this is what we're going to suggest...

1. Switch from Vsync off to Vsync on in advanced graphic settings. Your card won't work as hard and might stay cooler.
2. Maybe set graphic detail setting lower to see if it has an impact at all.

You might want to run a stress test on your vidcard just to see if it stands up. These are our best guesses at the moment, but he said he is going to watch for any other occurrences of this from other players - it's too early to say that it isn't our problem and that it's just really rare at the moment.

Please let us know what happens after you try the above, even if it's just to test.

Thanks!

xxwinchester1986xx: Still the same...
I have tried Vsync on / off with completly low details => game gets freezed after ~10-15 minutes...
It does no matter, whether singleplayer or multiplayer... The behaviour is still the same :-\.
And meanwhile i think that all the other players in the multiplaymode hate me because of my freezing stiuation...

I have also performed a GPU stresstest with the Benchmark "FurMark OpenGL Benchmark"
runtime: 15 minutes
avg fps: 45
max temperature: 70C / 158F
result: everything's running smooth - therefore my vidcard is fine in my opinion

And as i said before, the problems have started after the new patch.

My system specs should match the game requirements:
CPU: Core i5-4590 @ 3,3GHz
GPU: Geforce 960GTX
RAM: 16GB DDR3
Very sorry to hear this Winchester. Thanks for hanging in there on this with us.

We will continue to investigate on this side. The fact that it only happens with the latest patch is a good lead for us to try and track down.

Thiev: Online updates are handled by the dev at the moment. Offline will be brought in sync on Monday.

LiqMat: Thanks for the response as I have never installed Galaxy before as I have never needed to. I am absolutely not happy I have to depend on Galaxy to "enable" certain features of this game. This no different than online only DRM. Other GOG customers are taking note as well that there is no LAN option. Let me just say if this becomes a trend on GOG watch me stop spending money on your releases. You sell yourself as DRM free and that is what attracted my wallet and hard earned money in your direction. I exclusively buy games only on GOG and Humble Bundle for DRM free titles and I expect you guys to keep to what you preach.
Yo Calm down there, GOG will provide the patch on monday, they are just allowing the dev to update the game, this does not mean GOG is going back on its promise of DRM free, they have NEVER, EVER provided updates on Saturday's and Sunday's as those are day's off for GOG staff, see they have to check every update they get, so it takes em a bit of time. just calm down, GOG will always DRM Free and forever will be.

In fact the game is exactly that kind of stuff which we all have missed for several years...
Therefore, please tell me if i can give you more information / any kind of help to get this problem fixed.

Thiev: So, should we disallow developer for providing patches quicker (as many users requested) or keep an ever-growing team 24h around the clock for patches?

Offline patches are provided as before, during normal working hours.
I am not having an issue with the patches or how they are released. GOG sells their games as being DRM free and having to install Galaxy, a third party service, to access multiplayer is in fact DRM no matter how you slice it. This goes against what GOG has been preaching for years and building their business on. Petroglyph has kindly informed us in another thread they will talk about it next week in a meeting about having LAN support in the game. Let's say GOG goes belly up in the future I want to be able to play this game in multiplayer without having to depend on an outside service, in this case Galaxy, that may not be available in the future. If I wanted a game that was dependent on an online service to access multiplayer features I would buy this game over at Steam, but I buy from GOG instead because I depend on them to stick to their DRM free policy. I am not the only one that feels this way and GOG should have certain criteria in place for developers that requires them to have LAN support in their game so this "DRM free" title can be played multiplayer without the need of an outside service. Galaxy should be OPTIONAL and NOT REQUIRED to access features in a game that is supposedly DRM free. Thanks!

Fair enough, but LAN is becoming less and less popular, but I feel denying a game just because it does not have LAN is foolish at best, but now I can see where you have taken issue with this.

No, what is foolish is to accept any feature being crippled because it is dependent on an online only DRM scheme which in this case is Galaxy and then selling it as DRM free which GOG's entire sales model is based on.

I am no good talking to your type of people, so I am just going to quietly exit.

edit: I am not meaning to be rude, because I am stuck in both agreeing and disagreeing with you and I dont know how to quite vocalize it or saying it with out being too rude, so dont take offense at "your people" its just all I have left. but that being said, I hope that LAN gets patched in, and just know the updated builds will be up on monday (hopfully), have a good day and night.
