Has anyone managed to get this to work in windows 7?
For me, I just get the splash screen and then nothing happens, it just sits there at 100% cpu usage. I had this same problem on windows xp with my old cd version. Ive set compatibility mode to windows 2000 and tried running it as an administrator but it made no difference. Any ideas?

the folks in the TOCA 3 forum were having a problem getting it to run under win7, and running the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer and confirming the installation of the optional compatibility components seemed to fix it. evidently windows 7 is missing a lot of the older directx dlls that older games need to run...
i dont have windows 7 so i cant test, it may not work, but you might want to give it a shot, anyway...
Thanks for the suggestion, sadly it didnt help though.
I understand you have it on CD, you've bought it ages ago in the shop. Buy at gog.com, will be no problem with it at all.
Works perfectly in Win7 64bit. I didn't do anything special.
Just as a follow up to this (yes I created this thread almost two years ago to the day) I now have an ATI HD5850 card and I just fired up 1nsane out of curiosity, it worked fine with no issues at all.

My old CD version refused to run with my nvidia 6800gt card under windows XP and the Gog one failed the same way with an nvidia 8800gt under windows 7, now im not saying this is an nvidia problem but theres probably certain nvidia drivers that don't like this game.

Anyway, I hope this helps someone else.

I have the disc version and it runs smoothly on Windows 7 64bit Professional. Installed it to default directory, I think there was an issue once with that.
