So I've just bought this and apparently it doesn't work on nearly all fairly new Windows 7 systems with just a normal clean GOG install. Seriously, has it been tested? I get through all of the intro videos and then to the splash screen. When the splash screen fades out to black the game just crashes. I've tried it on about 15 different computers all running Windows 7 and I experience the same problem.

I think it's something to do with new DirectX not being compatible with the game anymore, but I really don't know how to fix it. The original disc based version of the game doesn't work either.
