This game rocks for LAN parties! Get one game running and you can do capture the flag, races, people are being airplanes, ATVS, 16 wheelers, going off extreme jumps. This game rocks for multiplayer.

Yeah me and my friend used to play mutliplayer LAN with all the huge modded trucks that were 10x bigger than everything else in the game. Great fun, not so keen on single player though.
How can I play it in LAN? Nothing happens when I select "Host a new game". neithr "Peer to peer" nor "client-server" seem to work because when I select "START", only the message

"Starting session..."

appears for a second just to drop back to the menu.
I'm having the same problem.
Did anyone ever manage to fix the problem outcast1 and Zip were having? Because I suffer from the same problem. Other games (Flatout 1 & 2 for example) work perfectly fine in our LAN, but not 1nsane. Joining session just doesn't find the host, not matter what we do.

And no, firewalls should not be a problem as 1nsane is allowed through them just like those other games.

EDIT: And suddenly it works perfectly. No idea why.
