According to at least this page, which references a blog that doesn't add any more information, 1954 Alcatraz works using the Linux Unity3d player. Has anyone successfully run the game this way? I can't get the game to work in wine (doesn't get past an initial black screen no matter what I do), and even though I get farther with the Unity3d player replacement, it's still unplayable:
- sound seems off: at the very least, no voices
- system cursor remains present (not a big deal)
- many images missing: all inventory icons, and some UI elements (e.g. the yes/no buttons for exit confirmation)
That last one is the deal breaker for me. I can see the tooltip text as I hover over inventory items, but I can't see the item itself, no matter what. The log file is of little help: the only errors are an inability to import libc (but no reason given why; other unity3d games I know import libc) and null object references which are meaningless to me.
