Cars do stop at red light and then don't move regardless any traffic light changes.
Only the cars heading the same direction as the player's truck are affected.
This happens even if no collisions between the cars occured and the space between them is sufficient for maneuvering.
Yes, i noticed this many times now. And that affect every cars in city. Temporary. They can sudenly start to move (all), or only after player re-inter city. I dont remember this back in the days.

Same happened sometimes also for exactly same direction traffic. But that happens sometimes on CD version as well.

Sync every frames is on and game work on 60 FPS. In 16:10 resolution. And in D3D render. bobbin86, you set D3D render or ypu play on OpenGL?
All mine game setting is maximum, incl distance draw and traffic.

Hello, QWEEDDYZ. Yes my settings are the same as yours (though the resolution is different) and I've already tried both renderers - still nothing has changed.
If you experience this stupid kind of bug or glitch, and God knows I have experienced it plenty of times as well, all you can do is either ignoring it and try to drive with your truck across the intersection, regardless of the red traffic light, because as long as there is no police around you cannot be punished, at least not in Across America. Of course, you can only do that without receiving damage as long as you are standing at the open side of the road, where you can try to get out of the mess. Just take care of the other cars coming from the other directions. Yet, an even better option is the following, although this may feel like cheating, yet if you are surrounded by cars or stuck between cars and houses it is even the only option: Save the game and load it immediately, because then all the cars will have magically disappeared and you can go on your way. This works even with all 18 Wheels Of Steel games and unfortunately sometimes it is truly all you can do.

And by the way, although I am not an expert for that game, your graphic options have definitely no effect on that problem.

Thanks, Serpent1989. Yep, I've already noticed that traffic rules can be ignored even in presence of cops (when they stuck too). Nevertheless the save/load trick is neat.

You're welcome. :) Indeed, the cops that drive around in Across America are mostly doing nothing at all, instead of just driving around, although on rare opportunities they have catched me too crossing a red light, but only if they were situated at the same red light as I was. If they are on the other side they have always ignored me so far. Yet, there is even a strange bug with the police on the road 101 between Los Angeles and San Francisco: If you are driving for too long on the wrong way, like when you try to pass a car in front of you, but you have problems to catch it, suddenly there comes a message that says "The police are on your tail!" and suddenly a cop appears from far away behind you. I wish you could outrun them, but in the 18 Wheels Of Steel series that is unfortunately impossible, although the main menu with the background picture tries to make you believe so. That was one of the strangest things happen to me when it comes to the police. Luckily, with the save/load trick even cop cars disappear, yet I have never tried it during a chase though.
