This game is honestly the most beloved game I've played and was a very large part in my love of time travel like stories, clear puzzles, and it included a demo for the second game. I remember feeling as if anything was possible, with many endings. Sure the story is fairly short, but I love this and I have gone out of my way to track this game down to play it.
While Pegaus prime, is officially first game as well (just for the mac), and I would not say it's bad... it does not have that wonder for me and the intro that it replaces from the turbo version just .... feels ... off.
This game is worth getting, and I really wish this version of the game would come out as well.
Nightmare CreaturesThe story behind Nightmare Creatures draws upon gothic horror elements of the 19th century. The story begins in 1666, when a devil-worshipping cult called the Brotherhood of Hecate were conducting sinister experiments in London so as to take over the city and then the world. The Brotherhood tried to develop an elixir that would endow them with superhuman powers. However, rather than creating their intended superhumans, their experiments created only grotesque monsters. When they decided to use these creatures as an army of conquest, one of their number, Samuel Pepys, set their headquarters on fire, resulting in the First Great Fire of London. The game takes place in 1834 when London falls victim to several evil occurrences. Monster sightings are reported along with news of people mutating into ungodly creatures, and that the dead are waking from their graves and walking amongst the living. All of London is in a panic and vulnerable to the schemes of Adam Crowley, a mad scientist and occultist enlisting the help of the Brotherhood.Action Horror Survival
Swords of DestinyAn action-packed sword combat game from Marvelous, with hyper-active, high-flying battling focusing on air combat action (including "Sword Time" for intense juggling airborne combos.) Music theme by Kaori Natori. Released under the full title Tensei: Swords of Destiny in early 2005 in Japan, this sword-based action game is set in China and focuses on airborne attacks which are referred to as "Sword Time." Playing as main character Raiun, you find yourself equipped with a legendary sword, the Tensei Ken. Each of the game's stages has multiple missions which are freely selectable by the player.Action
Silent Hill: OriginsSilent Hill: Origins is the fifth installment in the Silent Hill survival horror series, and a prequel to the original game. As in the previous entries, the player move back and forth between nightmare and real versions of the town, gathering items used to solve puzzles and open up new areas. Monsters of various types provide obstacles and, in series tradition, are mostly disturbingly twisted versions of humanity. The main character can fight with his bare fists or use melee weapons. Unlike previous games in the series, melee weapons break after a time. There are also one-shot items that can be thrown and several guns. The game tells the story of several characters who become trapped on Yamijima Island, an island off the coast of mainland Japan. On August 3, 1976, an underwater cable was cut, and all power to the island was lost. During the subsequent blackout, all of the islanders disappeared and the island became deserted. Twenty-nine years later, in 2005, a magazine editor called Mamoru Itsuki is visiting the island to conduct research for an article when the ferry he and a small group of other passengers are on capsizes, after it is hit by a red tidal wave. Shortly after his arrival, a group of soldiers crash land on the island after their helicopter has engine troubles. They must all find ways to survive the island's "monsters", the shibito.
The game is played through several character perspectives, each with his or her own strengths and weaknesses, through an overlapping timeline of the fateful night that alternates between the present and the past.
