Resident evil 7 is a short but fun RE(Resident Evil) game. The First RE game to utilize Capcom's new RE Engine and the first person perspective. While this game may not be as long as it's Sequel RE:Village It still manages to provide a fun and repayable story. Speaking of the game replayability It's greatest weakness is the two unskippable cutscenes found at the start of the game. While these cutscenes are good on a first playthrough to understand why Ethan is going to lousiana and to set up a mystery that is revealed in the final act of the game. they become entirely pointless on subsequent playthroughs. As for it's biggest strength when it comes to replayability has to be it's challenges. Resident Evil 7 has hidden challenges that give you bonus items which you can use in future playthroughs. For example Finishing the game in under 4 hours will give you x ray glasses which show you the location of items through walls. These bonus items will be useful when you attempt the games final challenge Madhouse Difficulty. As for the DLCs for this game There are the "Not a hero" and "End of Zoe" DLCs which act as an epilogue to the main story, playing a Chris Redfield in not a hero as he hunts down Lucas Baker and playing as Joe Baker in end of Zoe as he tries to find a cure for his Niece Zoe. And your also have the banned Footage DLC which is a prequel to the main story. Which adds 3 minigames that shows what happened to Clancy Javis(The previous victim to end up in the baker house before Ethan) And the final minigame called "Daughters" where it's show how the Baker family are infected and turned into the monsters from the main story. Overall I believe this is another game that deserves to be preserved DRM free on GOG as I have had many hours of fun over the years on this game.
