In spite of the bloated scale and somewhat repeditive gameplay, this game lets you make large sweeping changes to the political and social landscape of the Dragon Age world like no other game in the series, past or future, does.
The chaos caused by the rifts allows you to operate with inpunity as Inquisitor across Southern Thedas. Where you plant the flag of the Inquisition, you send out diplomats, spies and soldiers across the south, place those who deserve it or support your cause in positions of power and judge and punish your enemies.
This game fulfills the half-kept promise of a large scale conflict from Mass Effect 3, where your actions and presence is felt in the world, rather than just shown as a stat on a screen.
