Story:Digimon World 3 is a role-playing video game created by Bandai for the PlayStation. You play as a child called Junior who enters an online virtual reality MMORPG called "Digimon Online", which is run by the "MAGAMI" corporation. A terrorist attack on the Internet traps Junior and his friends inside the game and he sets out to stop them with his Digimon partners. Unlike past Digimon World games, battles against wild Digimon are random and the battle system although turn-based is very different from Digimon World 2, the most notable distinction is battles are one on one instead of three on three although you may tag in a different Digimon, battles also feature three types of digivolution; normal, Blast, and DNA digivolution.Show more

The definitive version is Digimon World 2003, it's already on the Dreamlist, maybe GOG should remove Digimon World 3 and keep Digimon World 2003. GOG's initiative is wonderful, but they need to keep the games on the Dreamlist without duplicates so that everyone can vote for just one.

Though people say 2003 is definitive with the post game World 3 had a far better balance and less bad decisions like the reducing effectiveness of fishing until you head to another screen. There is also the 50/60hz issue as well with 2003. These two games need a happy middle ground. Also the 2003 Post game Grind is...MIND NUMBING and needs editing so it isn't as mind numbing. 190 hours on a post game from a nice 50 hour RPG. Though the Save feature is slow in both games.
já terminei o Digimon World 3 mas a melhor versão é o Digimon World 2003, meu top 3 do PS1, me marcou por ser fã da franquia digimon, pela historia, gameplay, estilo visual, trilha sonora e conteúdo exta.

Digimon World 3 and 2003 are similar, but 2003 is more complete. So please, if choosing a version, bring us the 2023 one! Thanks for the initiative and please help us on bringing those jewles back to life.

It would be nice if you could watch review videos to see what bugs and porblems need to be fixed and add quality of life improvements, not like Final fantasy remakes

Oh. There's already this on here. Oops. World 1 is still a good yet quirky game. For 3, 2003 is the definitely better game, however it only operates at 50 fps instead of 60 as it was a european focused released. But it has an entire endgame attached to it. But digimon world 3 in general is a great example of a great idea but poor execution. Rife with backtracking to the absolute maximum was used to make up for the lack of content, but out of all the digimon games, this one achieves the ideal more than most. A limited amount of individual digimon you can acquire makes you appreciate each one more, and their ability to evolve into multiple stronger forms accomplishes more than you need for progression. And i don't know if there's any other digimon game that actually has your digimon get reverted back to a digimon for anything non combat, like literally all of the shows. Cybersleuth, in contrast, the endgame would have you have 3 mega level digimon following behind you 24/7, and taking up most of the screen real estate; but in DW3, they're just rookies. And the digivolving mechanic provides a lot experimentation. Know what you're getting into. A good game this is not. A tolerably decent one, maybe. But as a digimon game, it so far remains my favourite, and wish that Bandai would someday reattempt it's premise in a new release. Great digimon implementation in anotherwise meh game. Love it all the same.
PLEASE VOTE ON THE 2003 VERSION VOTE VOTE VOTE

I remember that I brought pirate version of this game around 2001 on stall. I played it a lot on my PS1 but the game had an error and after bulbmon the game was always crashing, so I was stuck in early locations of the game. I grinded around 1000h on this broken version and always dreamed about finishing the game. Many years later I finished it on my ps1 emulator, the game is superior to ALL digimon games till this day. Far superior game to all Digimon Worlds, amazing combat, lots of digimons, great card game, fantastic plot.
O melhor digimon até hoje, joguei novamente quando lançaram a tradução de fã em portugues. Jogo que marcou minha infancia, foi meu segundo rpg. É o tipo de game que até espero um remaster
Those games also need your vote!
