A semi-divisive game in the series, but in my opinion it's by far one of the best. The flow of combat is so exciting and satisfying to get good at. The boss fights are great as well, with the final boss being an all-time FROMSOFT goat imo. Not to mention the Online service for this game has to be one of the most interesting and experimental Online models FROMSOFT have ever tried, with Raid Boss battles and big Team Vs Team fights. If this game were to get re-released on PC, the modding community would have a chance fix so many of the console limitations this game suffers from, such as the terrible FPS. I love this game and it's one of my favourite AC games in the franchise.
The best feature rich for its multiplayer & by far the highest ceiling of AC games. Its no wonder ACVD still beloved by its community to this day. Its looks & feels like totally different usual AC games, the gameplay & the multiplayer are best highlight. But sadly, the server shutdown at March 31, 2024. That's mean interesting multiplayer modes like the PvP big team battles, PvE world event boss raid & faction teritorial metagame are unaccessible.
That's why more people should experience & play ACVD with restored online multiplayer functionality. Its hands down best Armored Core with its multiplayer modes.
Armored Core Verdict Day is an excellent tactical shooter take on the Armored Core formula and would be a very good starting point for newer fans of the series to start sinking their teeth into. I would hope that multiplayer functionality is enabled if this game gets re-released, but if not players would still have access to the peer to peer free battle system and UNAC system to participate in online battles and do co-op with programmable AI partners.
VD conquest was a very unique and engaging way to play. The game is playable via emulation, but it's just not the same without CQ. If by some miracle GOG would be able to get CQ mode back online - you will make a lot of people happy. The numbers might not be huge, but the dedication is second to none.

Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed.
The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo.
As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity.
Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. Die Hard ArcadeDie Hard Arcade is a beat 'em up for two players, who play as either John McClane or Chris Tompsen (Bruno Delinger and Cindy Holiday in the original Japanese version). Players fight their way through waves of enemies, using their fists, feet, and a variety of weapons that can be collected from enemies or the environment, from household items such as brooms and pepper shakers to high-damage missile launchers and anti-tank cannons. Most weapons are automatically lost at the end of each action scene, but hand guns can be retained so long as they have ammunition remaining. The typical level structure is a number of minions the player must defeat in many rooms, followed by a boss. Bosses can be anything from human minions of White Fang to spider robots. Quick Time Events are interspersed between many of the scenes. In these events, the player(s) may be running and turning a corner and they face an enemy, so they must perform a designated command to avoid being injured or to help defeat an enemy. In some cases failing a Quick Time Event will result in loss of health, as is usual for QTEs, but failing most will put the player characters into an additional action scene which they otherwise would not have to complete.
