Ask and you shall be deceived…

INDIKA is OUT NOW on GOG with a -10% launch discount, as well as its OST, Artbook, and Deluxe Edition.

It’s a third-person, story-driven game set in a strange world where religious visions clash with harsh reality. It tells the story of a young nun who sets off on a journey of self-discovery with the most unusual, horn-headed companion by her side.

On the outside, Indika seems to be a typical nun attempting to adjust to a difficult and monotonous monastery life. Humble and innocent in her appearance, do not be deceived as this young girl has also made a highly unlikely acquaintance—as she speaks with the devil himself.

Discover and enjoy an indie game where everything goes – play INDIKA now!

Why wishlist only instead of instabuy? Not ready to spend money on your convictions?

I don't really buy or avoid games based on ideologies: this game seems unique and that's good enough to be wishlisted, waiting for a discount. I just found your post unintentionally amusing.

Mr.Caine: GOG should remove retards like you instead.
You certainly will be removed for harassing and attacks and hate speech against Christians.

I never mentioned you or anyone, just the game, yet you took it personal for some reason.

Perhaps we're just flexible and a lot less eager to jump to conclusions?

Maybe we're just fine with things like "I don't know" and "I haven't researched this enough to have a well developed opinion on the subject matter" or even... "I changed my mind".

Anyways, I bought the game, because I love me some devil... he talks to me in my sleep too and tells me to sow doubt in sweet innocent Christian souls :P.

The whole game is reminiscent of the ravings of a sick drug addict! The protagonist clearly consumes something heavy, perhaps some forbidden mushrooms...

Just finished playing a game on Youtube. I don't think this game is for me.

Pros:

1. Deep atmosphere and great aesthetic style.
2. Some elements of the game look interesting.
3. Excellent Russian voice acting.

Cons:

1. Too much arthouse.
2. Too simple gameplay.
3. There are few puzzles and they are very simple.
4. A strange solution is to insert arcade pixel-art style mini-games.
5. In fact, 90% of the game is a simulator of walking and listening to dialogues.
6. There is a lot of obscenity in the dialogues. Maybe someone will like it, but I am put off by such things.
7. A lot of religious-philosophical nonsense. I'm not a fan of that kind of stuff in games.

Yes, let's make GOG great again and let us finally realize that even if something is not to our liking we absolutely should not demand to get it removed as long as other GOG customers might like it. Let's stop being selfish and start being tolerant - how about that?

That's completely against everything christianity ever stood for. In other words: I like the idea :)
Yes let's add any immoral junk so few basement edgelords would be satisfied.
No, some content should be banned. GOG is based in highly Christian country and should upheld Christian values.

"Added to wishlist" "played on youtube" - this game will thankfully flop hard if its only fans are too poor to get it day 1 and it's not even $60.

This bold and original game might cause a bit of a splash, even outside of the gaming scene. And I sure hope it does!

I am sure you are one of those who also have a problem with movies like "Life of Brian". Christianity is all about acceptance and tolerance no matter what or who you are ... live and let live.

Not actually the case (e.g.: Christianity is certainly NOT tolerant of LGBT people), which is why I oppose organised religion (it is a tool for controlling people, and of course every religion claims to know the "truth"). An individual can form their own world view - and a balanced one at that, if given the chance to access real information and try some critical thinking.

Very happy to see that a game like Indika could be made (particularly pertinent given the current situation with Russia and the Russian Orthodox Church) and is available on the market. Congratulations to Odd Meter and creative director and writer, Dmitry Svetlov, for giving us something actually thought provoking - we have plenty of casual entertainment, and could do with more of this kind of deeply relevant material.

Well ... it is a bit more complex I'd say ... and it has to do with how you interpret things written in the bible. Here's some interesting read:
