I personally think the controversy over Steller Blade is just the big western devs siccing their lapdops on a smaller studio because they dont have the capability of making a product anywhere near as good.
Can you imagine UbiSoft or EA making a game even half as good as Stellar Blade? Jedi Fallen Order is EA's best attempt at Fromsoft/Sekiro which essentially apes its combat and its the wish's wish's Temu version of Sekiro. GIven the close relationship between game journalists and big devs and the fact that this whole controversy started and is continued by Kotaku and IGN France.
Stellar Blade isnt perfect but its a better game than anything Ubisoft, EA, or Bethesda has put out. Journalists cant criticize the game on its merits so need to rely on "design" which is as ad hominem of an attack as you can get on a video game.

What are you talking about? Ubisoft makes Quadruple-A games nowadays! They are so amazing, no one dares to buy them to not get spoiled for the rest of their lives ;)

Why is this game an outrage and Bayonetta was widely praised? It's a non issue. Every game doesn't have to cater to everyone; if it's not for you for one reason or another, move on. These "controversies" are silly.

Just an FYI that something like this is going on. Adding a +1 to that might help. Or it might not. Either way, it's probably the only relevant thing GOG users can do at the moment to affect this, if they feel so inclined. Definitely better than bickering on the GOG forums :P
