lugum: already read on other forums that it wont work, but i have tried it but indeed it doesn't work.
also it would slow down the whole game, while only the screen moves too fast when you point the cursor left or right.
thanks anyway.
as zork nemesis has the same problem on even windows xp machines it must be very badly programmed . but also gog should have tested things a bit better..
jpinsa: Hi again, what do you mean by "it would slow down the whole game"? I played it today with CPUKILLER on a Pentium 4, XP Home Edition and it worked fine. also it would slow down the whole game, while only the screen moves too fast when you point the cursor left or right.
thanks anyway.

well if you reduce the cpu it will slow down your whole pc or atleast the whole game wouldnt it. since it's only a small section of the game that goes too fast and not the whole
game it wouldnt seem logical because then other things that shouldnt be slower will be low too.
also i got a quad processor 2x 2.50 ghz, 4gb ram and windows 7 which might even make
it more faster then a pentium 4 would.
also if you alt tab and go back does it still have the same speed or does it go faster?
running zpeed instead of zgiwin does make the speed go at a fine pace too and i guess not using alt+tab isn't that much of a deal... but i dunno if the speed will remain steady.
or that it will go faster still in the long run.
think only gog can give an answer about how and what they did and used (especially
zpeed) and if there is a solution.
