I made a review post on the game page due to the steam version of the game having issues running on my comp. The issue was that the game would kill itself during the cutscenes and freeze or go to a map where you couldn't do anything and just watch the grass move. I love this game, but I don't want to spend any more money on something that just won't work. Can anyone tell me if the single player has been fixed?
This question / problem has been solved by Rhinelandimage
The game is patched to v1.0.1.1, which runs fine under Win 10 x64 (I saw it on a friend's PC). I don't own the Steam version, but the same goes for the original disc version I have: Even that one works under Windows 10 x64 without any problems.

By the way: The official patch v1.0.1.0 did remove the copy protection from the game, so if you own the original game, you already have a DRM-free version. :)

Well....I guess I'll pull the trigger and grab it anyways. I'm not seeing a mass outcry of anger and dissapointment, so I'm assuming it works fine. I'll update my review if this turns out to be the case.
The steam version has all kinds of problems on windows 7, like "not enough memory" crashes and DX10 issues. How does this one fare?

I have the same problems with the Steam Version. But the GOG Version works great, i just finished the Campaign and have Zero crashes. Good Work GOG :)
Yeah, good job GOG, I just bought your version and it works flawlessly. Thank you!
I was able to install this game fine but once installed I could not access the original game but only the expansion. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail. Anyone any ideas?

In Reference to this, The Expansion is an add-in to the game, Not a stand alone mission set... As you play through you'll switch sides moving along with the continuity of the story line. Pretty neat addition to be honest :)

So, are the missions from the original game also included in this Complete Edition version then? Just curious, as I have just started the game, and the setting is beginning with the Russian European front, and not the American defense of the invasion of California as I was expecting. In the GOG gamecard, it *does* state that the Complete Edition includes both the original and Soviet Assault expansion, so I'm a little confused, as the expansion was supposed to originally add 6 new missions to the original (along with new enhancements, weapons, ect). So basically, this CE just fuses missions of the original game with the expansion in one longer campaign then, and overall we are not missing any of the original gameplay? Would appreciate if you could shed some light on this...thanks :)

In the Complete Edition the missions are integrated into a single campaign, the first mission is the invasion of West Berlin, the second mission is Seattle.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I played through some of the first part, invasion of Berlin, and things began getting a little hectic for my poor brain, and I took a break, lol. I still have it installed, so at some point, I will definitely give it a go again in the future. Thanks again :-D
