The release on here, as with many other games, uses DOSBox. For people wanting an enhanced experience there's BuildGDX, a project that encompasses all major Build games in one place. It runs under Java, and is available with a runtime bundled.

This has the features you'd expect from a modern source port, such as widescreen rendering at high resolutions, true vertical look (not Y-shearing) and easily reconfigurable controls. No one has made any voxels for it yet, but if someone does that is supported as well.
