I suppose my post in the TFix thread is a little off-topic there. So I thought I would start a new topic.
I just got the game and applied the TFix. Having never played Thief before, I'm not sure how much it improves the original game, but I'm sure the authors of the package did a great job. I did try it before and after the mod, and the graphics differences (so far) are subtle, which leads me to..
Unfortunately I'm having trouble appreciating the mod as it is not HD. Seemingly the character models are mostly untouched, too. I'm just too spoiled by modern graphical splendor! Really everything about the game seems antiquated. Doesn't mean it's not a great game, it's just, well, it's tempting to just go play The Witcher Enhanced maxed-out instead (another game I haven't played yet, but got on GOG.) XD
Anyone have any ideas on how I can look past the aged graphics and get into the game? Some people think it's easily among the best PC games ever made. I need some reassurance that it really is the masterpiece it's supposed to be. Lol.
Thanks
