baloniman: The point is to show that you aren't supportive of the idea to limit technological progress due to market constraints. The game was held back in glory to accommodate the weaker nature of the consoles. If you are content with that then just sit by idly and consume what is available without regard for true progress.
green.anger: That's how things work. You basically have two ways, do it yourself or pay someone to do it for you. I'm pretty sure if you could offer CDPR more than MS and Sony, they [CDPR] would've done for you a candy and left consoles far behind. We know they can do it just by watching 2013 trailer. Or you could do it with your own team, but again you must offer them something. You know these humans, they have this annoying need to sustain their energy level by eating and drinking.
Just complaining won't get you anywhere. Life is a zero-sum game, you know.
Money talks no doubt. This concept is actually a big part of the problem here. I'm sure the developers were offered more from MS to use that as the benchmark due to the fact the Xbox is weaker than the PS4. So really what has happened here is money has ensured the downgrade in visuals due to commitments to the consoles.
it may seem like I am complaining but I'm not demanding anything from them I've actually stated multiple times I'm still very much looking forward to the game although it is worth pointing out the truth of how things happen behind the scenes in this industry. Developers are constrained into specific markets to ensure they get the sales to continue operation. As a result of this compromises are made and its an endless cycle of slowed progress.
Talking and sharing information is a way to implement change so I do believe people are feeling the same way the thread is progressing.
